EXPERIENCE

Above, the sky is revealed through the vast glass windows. There is no doubt the new Mandarin Oriental hotel epitomizes sophisticated luxury. Whilst incorporating the highest levels of technology the hotel has been designed with a vision to ensure guests have an unmistakable sense of the unique city in which they are staying. Inspired by tradition the contemporary interior subtly captures the essence of ‘Forest and Water’ expressing the Japanese appreciation of nature.

The dramatic first impression of your arrival in the Sky Lobby will remain with you throughout your stay. You step out of the private lift onto the 38th Floor and gaze straight across the city of Tokyo. The hotel offers its guests a unique sense of place and an extraordinary sense of space. The fabrics and textiles used throughout the hotel are exclusive creations capturing the essence of ‘Forest and Water’. Amidst the hectic pace of modern urban living, these two essentials of nature spell comfort and ease to everyone in Japan. The combination of our visionary design and the renowned service will meet your every expectation of a luxurious city hotel.

The 157 rooms are designed for sumptuous luxury as you would expect from a Mandarin Oriental hotel and inspired by the Japanese aesthetic, giving the guests, as always, a distinct sense of the city you are staying in. The bathrooms are divided from the rooms with a spread of glass; one flick of a wooden blind and the room is washed in daylight. Walls of glass stretch the length of the suites from bathroom to bedroom so all guests have fantastic views across the city; the West prospect towards the Imperial Palace and East across to Tokyo Bay. The 22 suites are designed with careful intelligence in dividing bedrooms and living areas, ensuring guests maintain a sense of privacy when entertaining friends or associates. Apart from the highly sophisticated technology and fabulous levels of luxury they are impressively large; however long your visit, occupying these suites will always be a pleasure. The presidential suite is 250 square meters in size and designed with careful thought given to flexibility ensuring the room is perfect for the moment. Guests of the presidential suite can have private access to a network of other suites, an exclusive wine cellar, VIP dining room or their personal in-room spa.

The overall effect is sophisticated and harmonious, the detail is intriguing. The home entertainment and communication technology includes widescreen televisions with surround sound, connected to multi-standard DVD players, you can also output your laptop onto the LCD TVs. The 100 Mbps broadband data network delivers not only high-speed Internet access, but also high definition digital video including the latest movies and hundreds of audio tracks. Plug-in your iPod or MP3 player and listen to your favorite tunes on the high quality room audio. You can even access your text messages, faxes and voicemail via the televisions, and view your handycam video images.
