An idyllic waterfront location with a rich and colorful history and a newly designed interior is the perfect combination for what is undoubtedly one of the most exciting hotels in Cornwall.
EXPERIENCE
21st century boutique styling is cleverly juxtaposed with traditional architecture with a modern flair at Old Quay House Hotel. There is an eclectic collection of furnishings and ornaments and the effortless styling is carried through 11 individually designed rooms, seven of which benefit from estuary views and patios. Downstairs the theme continues with a space of unique ambience, as you enter the hotel you are greeted by a vista that cleverly draws your eye through the ‘Q’ branded restaurant, on to the sun terrace and then the glittering Fowey estuary beyond.
The gorgeous bedrooms each offer something to suit everyone’s taste. Cool ‘island’ styled rooms contrast with classic European design whilst others offer rich opulence, ideal for indulging the decadent character. Seven of the rooms have estuary views from their balconies. All the bathrooms boast the highest quality fittings and the very best in luxury amenities. Muted colors and natural fabrics create a sensual harmony encouraging the guest to indulge in their very own comfort zone and protected space.
Overlooking the beautiful estuary in Fowey, ‘Q’ Restaurant at The Old Quay House is fast becoming one of ‘the’ places to eat in Cornwall. Creating innovative menus in a modern European style, with influence from Italy to Cornwall, the Head Chef uses the finest local produce, and together with a resplendent waterside location, is undoubtedly a treat to enjoy. Tempting menus for both lunch and dinner, an eclectic wine list and evening menu is complimented by daily specials, a lunch and snack menu and the carefully selected wine list then flatters the restaurant’s unique ambience.
