Onguma Plains, The Fort on Fisher's Pan

This Fort will surprise you at every corner with its classical African feel combined with a touch of Moroccan and Indian flavours, characterised by a selection of the most beautiful antique windows and doors. Once inside the tall and cool roughly plastered walls, a courtyard awaits every guest, fitted with a large water feature that will refresh your senses straight away. Cross over to the other side of the water, and you will enter a spacious and beautifully decorated lounge and open air dining room. A large wooden deck will lead you to the outside, with scattered romantic seating spaces, in full view of the waterhole at which many various species of buck, giraffe, lion, zebra, birds, and more come to drink and frolic daily.

Onguma Plains have 12 mini-Suites, all situated adjacent to the Main Fort extending on both sides to the south and the north. Every Suite is completely private with a main bedroom and dressing room area, all open plan and equipped with a bar fridge, telephone and an air cooling system for those warmer days. The one and only Main Fort Suite is situated inside the Main Tower of the main complex. It has a large beautifully designed bedroom that leads into a lounge area and out onto a private viewing deck.

Wonderful meals will be served on either the viewing deck, at the outside dining area, around the lantern-lit pool at night, or inside the courtyard at the water feature.
