Park Hotel Vitznau

The Park Hotel Vitznau has its origin in a simple boarding house Villa Pfyffer, that was situated on 15 hectares of rich land below the magnificent Mount Rigi on the shores of Lake Lucerne. Started in 1901 and completed in 1903, the Park Hotel Vitznau was built in the Belle Epoque style by architect Karl Koller, who also designed the Suvretta House in St. Moritz. Opened for the first summer season on April 22, 1903, the hotel has undergone numerous structural and decorative renovations and today resembles a majestic, fairy-tale castle with all the modern comforts of a luxurious hotel..

There are 6 suites with balcony and terrace overlooking Lake Lucerne. All suites consist of bedroom and separate living room, as well as spacious bathrooms enriched with white and rose marble. The 71 luxuriously appointed double and single rooms are decorated in soft, pastel colours and all have private balcony or terrace, with a view to Mount Rigi or Lake Lucerne. The 23 Junior suites have a spacious lounge area, and balcony or terrace overlooking the Lake Lucerne and most of them are air conditioned. Furthermore there is one luxurious Presidential Suite with up to 4 bedrooms, one spacious living room, 5 marble bathrooms and a large terrace.

The Panorama Restaurant, with an unforgettable view of Lake Lucerne and the Swiss Alps, specializes in outstanding, international cuisine. Quatre Cantons is a special place for special dining with a garden terrace situated directly on the shore of Lake Lucerne. The innovative Mediterranean cuisine and excellent service have been honoured by GaultMillau with 16 points.

The hotel has eight spacious, air-conditioned conference and seminar rooms for up to 80 persons with a view of Lake Lucerne or the Mount Rigi, sound system, ISDN and WLAN Internet access.

The hotel is open seasonally from approximately mid-April through end of September.
