| Set amidst palm trees and landscaped gardens, Parker Palm Springs is an oasis set in the majestic desert; a perfect getaway for those with an abiding sense of play. |
EXPERIENCEJust a short distance from some of the most celebrated sites of Palm Springs, Parker Palm Springs was formerly Gene Autry's Melody Ranch and Merv Griffin's Givenchy Resort and Spa. Situated on thirteen acres of landscaped gardens and surrounded by the desert and mountains, the setting is simply beautiful, and offers many things to do in the surrounding area.
Parker Palm Springs offers 144 rooms, which include estate rooms, terrace rooms, junior suites, and 12 very private, one-bedroom villas. For the ultimate in privacy, there is a two-bedroom home that was once Gene Autry’s residence – that features a living room, dining room, full kitchen, two-bathrooms, extensive closet space, and an outdoor lawn area. Located a few steps from the saline Autry Pool, this residence is the place to be for the ultimate in luxury while enjoying all the estate’s amenities. Estate rooms are set the basic high standard for the estate. Similarly to all the other rooms they enjoy the same amenities (Hermès, Molton Brown, Peter Thomas Roth) and Jonathan Adler décor. Terrace Rooms feature an outdoor sitting area, providing the perfect spot for an in-room massage or an afternoon nap merely feet away from the intimate north pool. Junior Suites are huge rooms that open up either onto the original estate gardens or on a balcony with garden views. These suites are located in a quiet area of the south building, but only steps away from our minibar, lounge and restaurants. All of the villas are free standing, with the very private one-bedroom suites featuring an enclosed patio with a separate service entrance; ideal for a romantic dinner or outdoor massage. Inside each has a king bed and marble bath. The living room has a great sitting area including a hanging chair and separate wet bar. The patio is nearly as large as the living room, so villas are perfect to enjoy the great weather alone, à deux, or with friends.
Dining at Parker Palm Springs is delectable at Norma’s, where breakfast is taken quite seriously, nothing mundane is allowed. Some have called Norma's a five star diner; others say it is breakfast over the top. The chef and his team had tremendous fun in putting together this New York transplant. And if you’re looking for something outside, The Lemonade Stand is at the poolside offering victuals and beverages will allow you to remain supine and content.
Enjoy one of the four European red clay tennis courts. Or why not golf the 18-hole executive course where President Eisenhower hit his only hole in one, or spend a day at the The Palm Springs Yacht Club. Rated a world-class spa by Condé Nast Traveler, they offer a full range of massage and body treatments along with private mens and womens indoor swimming pools, jacuzzis, steam and sauna rooms, and a 24 hour exercise facility. RECOGNITIONLOCATIONFor those who wish to do more than soaking in the desert air and sun by the pool, rest assured that there are countless things to do in the area. Palm Springs is a prime destination for hiking, walking through parks, the Aerial Tramway, tours, hot air balloon rides, golf, the theatre, and numerous events and festivals.
