| With its aged, singed timber buildings, slate roofing and characteristic bright blue half-gates, the farm of Per Gynt Gaarden lies like a royal palace in the rolling hills overlooking Vinstra. |
EXPERIENCEPerched like a fairytale castle high above a huge, natural amphitheatre making up a wide section of the Gudbrandsdal Valley with the village of Vinstra at its heart, is a most unique site: the Per Gynt Gaarden. Not only is the farm estate a marvelous example of medieval craftsmanship, but it is also the home of the historical character Henrik Ibsen, used as inspiration for his world-famous dramatic piece Peer Gynt.
The rooms have romantic canopy beds, charming fireplaces, and large bathrooms. With a spectacular view of the valley below, the No. 1 Room is reserved for Royality, Heads of State, artists, musicians, and newlyweds celebrating their wedding at Per Gynt Farm.
Delicious and tasty culinary experiences are an important part of any memorable holiday experience. The chefs use local ingredients, many of which are grown on the farm, and ecologically cultivated and prepared foods. Herbal gardens provide the chef with all the spices they need, and the berries and fruit are also harvested from the local forest or from the farms gardens. LOCATIONThe Per Gynt Gaarden is located in the lush surroundings of the fantastic Gudbrandsdalen which invites visitors to an abundance of activities all year round. Per Gynt Gaarden offers guests a wide selection of recreational activities with local facilitators such as: hunting, fishing, skiing, horseback riding, and dog sledding. CONTACT
