In a city with almost every aesthetic inducement, there is courtesy in equal measure. At Planters Inn you are greeted and attended with extraordinary warmth and forethought.
EXPERIENCE
In a city with almost every aesthetic inducement Planters Inn, a Relais & Châteaux member, sets a whole new standard in elegant charm with courteous, professional service. Overlooking the City Market, Planters Inn (circa 1844) is designed in the manner of Charleston’s fine antebellum homes. The lobby features detailed crown molding and fireplace mantle, antique furnishings and fine art.
The Inn’s 64 guest rooms are all individually-designed using the finest fabrics and period furnishings. Rooms and suites feature high ceilings, four-poster beds, fireplaces and oversized bathrooms done in travertine marble. Many rooms open to a wrap-around piazza overlooking the Garden Courtyard.
Planters Inn is also home to the internationally-renowned Peninsula Grill. The chef uses Southern influences on classic metropolitan fare in the city’s most sophisticated dining room, a tasteful blending of traditional Charleston style with contemporary accents.
