EXPERIENCE

A destination palace resort spread over 47 acres of tranquil, landscaped gardens, Rambagh Palace is Jaipur’s foremost Royal Palace residence. Located close to the walled Pink City, spectacular forts, and all the unique shopping bazaars of Jaipur, the Palace unveils the rich culture and history of the erstwhile rulers of Rajasthan. Built in 1835 as a hunting lodge, converted to a palace in 1925 as the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur and finally converted as India’s first palace hotel in 1957.

An architectural masterpiece, Rambagh presents a fine blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Sensitively restored to its former glory with refurbished rooms overlooking courtyards with fountains or verdant gardens, airy verandahs, idyllic front lawns and a warm intimate lobby, guests relive the royal lifestyle at Rambagh. In addition, personalized butlers are there throughout the Palace who are knowledgeable hosts to modern day Maharajas.

Rambagh Palace offers 90 rooms including aesthetically restored suites, which were the chambers of the former Maharaja. Use of rich fabrics and silk drapes draw from the colorful art and warm hues of the state of Rajasthan. Luxury rooms, Historical Suites and theme royal and grand Royal Suites present accommodation befitting royalty. The spacious Superior Rooms, located on the third floor, offer views of the sprawling Mughal Gardens and Chandani Chowk. Some of the rooms have a separate sitting area, some overlook gardens and some have individual themes. All bathrooms have bathtubs with individual shower cubicles. There is a choice of new and contemporary suites as well as the original theme-based suites such as Mountbatten Suite, Chandra Niwas and Pothikhana. The suites have a tea/coffee maker, mini bar, safe, hair dryer, and separate balcony. The contemporary suites have a balcony and a shower cubical in the bathroom. The Royal Suites, exuding luxury and grandeur, have a large bedroom, a sitting area, garden view, mini bar, tea coffee maker, laptop connectivity in room and electronic safe. The Grand Presidential (Suryawanshi Suite) and Grand Royal Suites (Prince's Suite and Maharani Suite) are the ultimate in luxury. The three suites are well-spread out apartment sized suites. The Grand Royal Suite has a private terrace that overlooks the garden view, and a spacious bathroom.

When guests step into Rambagh Palace, they take a leap backward in time to when the palace was the royal residence of the Maharaja and every resident and visitor had the luxury of his own personal butler. Today, these Palace Butlers are Gentlemen’s gentlemen (and Ladies), providing unique personalized services, which guests can experience from the time they arrive at the palace. Several sporting facilities, age-old ayurvedic therapies, yoga classes from internationally reputed yoga teachers, relaxation and pampering of your body, mind and soul are amongst the various recreational facilities available at Rambagh Palace.
