Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge is located in the incredible Namib Desert, Namibia, situated at the foothills of the private NamibRand Nature Reserve. Thanks to conservation efforts, the NamibRand spans 180,000 hectares (445,000 acres) of pristine desert wilderness, and is the largest private nature reserve in Southern Africa. Cradled against the ancient mountains, this extraordinary safari lodge is renowned for its luxurious and private accommodation set overlooking the stark, yet beautiful Namib Desert. The Namib Desert, the largest private nature reserve in Southern Africa, is a world of vast space, endless horizons, and dramatic desert and mountain vistas. Designed to capture the splendor and solitude of the desert, located at the foot of a mountain overlooking an expansive Namib grass plain leading to a sea of red sand dunes, each of the 10 stone and glass desert villas assure absolute privacy. The luxury features include a shaded private veranda, split-level bedroom and living room with fireplace, stargazing windows and adventurous outdoor shower. The suites are appointed with a personal bar, CD system and spotting scope.

Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge is located In the northern section of the NamibRand Nature Reserve, on the eastern boundary of the Namib Naukluft National Park. Access to Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge is had by scheduled daily charter flight to Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge's private airstrip or by two-wheel drive vehicle on good gravel roads (Swakopmund – 380km/236 miles, Windhoek – 360km/224 miles). The airstrip is six minutes from the Lodge.
