Accommodation at the Summer Lodge country house hotel is exceptional with 20 bedrooms, 2 one-bedroom suites and 2 two-bedroom suites. Each room is individually decorated and comes complete with the latest in state of the art technology including large plasma screen TV and DVD, air conditioning, Satellite TV and Internet access. Rooms and suites are not only available in the Main House but also in the Coach House which feature their own conservatory or balcony overlooking the pool and spa area, as well as in one of the 3 cottages including the romantic Ivy Cottage which is perfect for honeymooners. Room One, the Master Bedroom was originally designed by Thomas Hardy himself and offers a magnificent open fireplace and four-poster bed, which overlooks the perfectly manicured English country gardens, that frame the house beautifully. Time in the country would not be complete without man's best friend and so pets are welcome in the Coach House with prior arrangement.
Leisure facilities at Summer Lodge are aplenty. Pamper yourself in the mini-spa where you can take a sauna after a dip in the heated indoor pool or even a massage or facial if you prefer. Alternatively, you might want to take a work out in the well equipped gym and pump some iron. From London (2.5-3 hours): Take the M3 until Junction 8. Exit onto the A303 and after approx. 65 miles (at the Sparkford Roundabout) follow Sherborne B1348 onto the A359. At Yeovil take the A37 for Dorchester and after 9 miles turn right at the sign for Evershot. The hotel entrance is in Summer Lane. Ample parking is available.
