The deluxe cottage is a restored building that was built in 1902 by Delray's first mayor.
One of the resort's most interesting features is the self-sustaining, organic swimming pond considered the first of its kind in the world. Chemical-free and man-made, the pond is akin to swimming in a large aquarium. Bathers are joined by a diverse fish habitat, along with snails and other friendly creatures.
Tucked in an acre of dense gardens populated by parrots and more than 5,000 species of plants, the Sundy House has 11 guest rooms, including four one- and two-bedroom units. The fascinating property is walking distance from Delray's popular historic district, a great place to dine and explore while walking hand-in-hand.
The property features such stunning imports as African palms, Guyanese chestnut trees, Bay Rum, allspice, miracle fruit, Korean velvet grass, Brazilian jaboticaba with grapelike fruit popping out from the bark, thick bunches of bamboo, low-growing blooms and reaching-for-the-sky trees. Discreetly placed markers serve as guides to the treasures laced by a stream kept pure enough to allow its tilapia population to be regularly harvested for human consumption.

From -PBI- Palm Beach International Airport it is 20 miles to the property. From Southern Boulevard (FL-700, W/FL-80), take I-95 South towards Miami. Travel South on I-95 for 14.77 miles, to the Atlantic Avenue exits. Take Atlantic Avenue East from I-95, you will be passing 5 traffic lights (0.85 miles).
