The College Hotel

The building is a true gem, originally built in 1895 as a school. It is nowadays listed on the official register of the historical buildings of Amsterdam, and the architectural similarities between it and the famous Rijksmuseum, built in the same period, are striking.

THECOLLEGEHOTEL’s forty luxurious rooms and suites have each been individually designed to maintain their own identity. Elegant fabrics and colors were chosen to accent warm nurturing tones, and all rooms are characterized by a harmonious blending of black with shades of brown and sandy colors. Bathrooms are finished with chic, subtle details including exclusively designed washbasin furniture in black French polish with brown marble and chrome legs and ZenZone amenities.

The hotel’s restaurant is a free-standing restaurant located in the former school gymnasium. There, famed chef Schilo van Coevorden and his team pay tribute to the Golden age of Dutch cuisine by honoring classics from the past from a contemporary perspective, resulting in a surprising culinary experience.
