In 1964, one of the most famous pictures of The Beatles was taken at The Edgewater, as they fished from the window of room 272. Since then many other rock stars have stayed at The Edgewater.
EXPERIENCE
The Edgewater was built in 1962 for the World’s Fair. The fourth floor was added around 1964. It remains Seattle’s only waterfront hotel. The Edgewater is a unique, dramatic lodge with spectacular panoramic views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. With river-rock fireplaces and overstuffed chairs, and impressive floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking sparkling Elliott Bay.
The Edgewater's Pacific Northwest ambiance makes it the quietly-reserved alternative to the many urban Seattle hotels. With half of the rooms facing Elliot Bay, and the other half offering sparkling views of Seattle, The Edgewater offers two distinct experiences. All guest rooms are furnished with hand-crafted pine furniture, river rock fireplaces, overstuffed chairs and the whimsy of a bear footrest.
Creature comforts include appointments such as Ralph Lauren bedding, turndown service, complimentary shoeshine kits and bath amenities (complete with rubber ducky!), mini bar, data port phones with voice mail, and in-room coffee service with complimentary Starbuck's Coffee.
