The Farm at Cape Kidnappers is set on a 5,000-acre sheep and cattle farm which rolls along cliffs that plunge dramatically to the sea. The exterior of the lodge was designed to blend in with the rustic feel of the area.

EXPERIENCE

The Farm at Cape Kidnappers will be opening in November 2007; the lodge is located on the North Island in Hawke’s Bay. One of New Zealand’s most important wine districts, Cape Kidnappers has a rich history beginning with its discovery by Captain James Cook in 1769. The new lodge, or ‘The Farm’ as it is called, promises to be a luxurious experience. Cape Kidnappers is set on a 6,000-acre sheep and cattle farm, which encompasses land reminiscent of Montana but plunges 800 feet straight into the sea.

Each Cottage Suite has air conditioning, high speed wireless internet, flat screen LCD TV, DVD and CD player with iPod connection, fully stocked complimentary mini bar, walk in closet, spacious bathroom with heated towel rack, oversized bath tub, and twin vanities. Cottage Suites offer 180 degree panoramic views of the farm, golf course and Pacific Ocean from each suite’s private balcony. The Owners Cottage offers four deluxe bedrooms with fireplaces, large bathrooms, walk-in closets and private balconies, large living room with stone fireplace, open kitchen and dining area. This cottage can be rented as a two bedroom or four bedroom house.

The Farm at Cape Kidnappers offers two dining rooms featuring gourmet a la carte dining and a covered loggia for al fresco dining with private dining and room service available on request. The Clubhouse offers a light sandwich menu incorporating fresh local produce that can be accompanied by a well deserved light refreshment from the well stocked bar which includes the award winning wine selection from Te Awa Winery.

The Classic Woolshed Style Club House at the golf course captures the feel and history of the property and offers all the luxuries and services of a grand estate. The Golf Shop which has the latest in designer labels is available and the knowledgeable and helpful sales team are on site to assist with all your golfing needs.
