The operative word in Home Ranch is "home." This Coloradan mountainside gem strives beyond all else to create a convivial atmosphere you're bound to enjoy.
EXPERIENCE
Dude ranch by summer. Cozy chalet by winter. First-class accommodation all year round.
The Home Ranch is all these things, but that's only scratching the surface. Perhaps more than anything else, it's the friendly family atmosphere that keeps guests coming back to this corner of the Colorado wilderness year after year.
With eight private cabins - ranging in size from one to three bedrooms - and six rooms in the main lodge, the pickings are slim but varied. Keep in mind that each cabin has its own hot tub.
Despite your cozy environs, though, most of the action takes place outside. The Home Ranch keeps a stable of gentle horses who will gladly whisk you along miles and miles of mountain trails. Visit during the annual weanling week in mid-September to interact with dozens of four-month old horses visiting from Canada.
Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing replace riding during the winter months, using many of the same trails.
Tucked away in the northwestern mountains of Colorado, The Home Ranch is located near Steamboat Springs. The ranch is a four-hour drive from the Denver International Airport.
