The Tides South Beach

The Tides South Beach's appeal cannot be reduced to a single element, though stunning design is certainly a good place to start. The hotel was redesigned in 2007 by renowned decorator Kelly Wearstler, who wasted no time reinvigorating the space with the busy patterns and opulent materials that constitute her signature mod-baroque style. Little exterior work was required for this Art Deco icon.

The boutique accommodation houses 45 ocean-view suites, ranging in size from 550 to 2,600 square feet and carrying all the usual amenities, plus some extras. Chief among them is a small and incredibly chic army of personal assistants, ready to handle any request. (Because sometimes, a rare albino iguana is the only thing that will do.)

In the absence of an actual, physical spa, The Tides South Beach employs spa professionals who come to you, be it poolside or bedside. And when hunger calls, La Marea serves some of Florida's best Italian cuisine.
