EXPERIENCEDesigned to capture the setting's unique feeling of space and light, Whare Kea appears to float above the water allowing guests to enjoy the magnificent location in an intimate atmosphere. Whare Kea Lodge is located on 60 acres of private farmland on the shore of Lake Wanaka. The inspiring building captures the full beauty and grandeur of its lake-side setting and alpine views, whilst providing the ultimate in sophisticated accommodation for guests.
The Lodge has two master suites and four deluxe rooms accommodating a maximum of twelve guests. All rooms include; a large ensuite bathroom with double ended bath and separate double shower and walk in dressing room/wardrobe. All rooms have direct access to the sundeck with an outdoor table setting. The two spacious master suites situated at the end of each wing include a king sized double bed, and in addition to those features mentioned above, a double sofa, occasional table with arm chairs, large writing desk and outdoor sun loungers. The central living area comprises three lounge spaces including open fire, a bar and dining area. In addition there is a billiard & lounge room, massage room, cellar, guest communications centre as well as outdoor areas.
Whare Kea Lodge offers guests a four course dinner, as well as a comprehensive breakfast and a range of lunch options. Whare Kea's style of cuisine is not traditional French rather modern European with an emphasis on fresh New Zealand produce complimented by fine New Zealand and Australian wines and French champagne.
