One of my favorite summer adventures of all time was a 3-week road trip through the American Southwest, which took me to countless places of natural wonder like Zion National Park, Monument Valley, Moab and Antelope Canyon. The constant movement of road trips can be exhausting, so it’s always good to have a luxurious resting place like Amangiri to pause and recharge.

To me, Tokyo has it all. Biking around the city visiting all of the beautiful parks and museums and just people watching is really inspiring. The Park Hyatt has the most insane views of the city and their rooftop bar is the perfect place to end a jam-packed day—or start the night!

My first trip to Europe was a magical mini tour through Italy with a final stop in Positano which left a lasting impression with its sea breeze and spectacular views. Le Sirenuse has the perfect location; high enough for postcard views but close enough to the beach. Be sure to book La Tagliata for an authentic Italian feast.

I love how clean, dynamic, vibrant and cosmopolitan Hong Kong is. The colonial past, the influence of British culture and values exist in harmony with Chinese tradition. The Upper House is a perfectly luxurious home base, with attention to detail, fantastic staff who go the extra mile to make you feel at home, delicious food and fantastic views of the city!

While I am always exploring new places, Hawaii is our family go-to. We love diving with sea turtles in the clearest waters and experience the expanses of crunching lava on the Big Island. The Four Seasons Hualalai never disappoints. The soft white sand beach nestled in between the rocks, the swimming pool lagoon and the outdoor restaurant right on the beach with fresh fish paired with incredible service is a total treat.

I love Bali and especially the Ubud area where you can truly disconnect from everything surrounded by jungle and a beautiful natural landscape. COMO Shambhala Estate is one of the best hotels I have ever experienced. The villas are magical, quiet and relaxing and feel like a home away from home. I can’t wait to go back.

Europe during the summer is a bit like stepping back in time. We love the history, and the combination of old and new architecture. When we’re back in the Northeast during the winter, we often find ourselves thinking about the salt of the Mediterranean sea, the warmth of the sun, and finishing off a long day with a beautiful meal and a crisp glass of rosé.

Barcelona is my ideal summer getaway as it holds everything I love about a European summer. The city is packed with options for slow lunches and late dinners, and plenty to do in between like soaking in the sun of a rooftop pool. There’s enough to do in the city to fill a week’s time, like experiencing rich history and architecture by Gaudí, all the while being able to take it slow and enjoy just getting lost in those charming streets.
