A Real Gem in Macau

Some people stay at a hotel for the convenient connectivity (to malls, and casinos here in Macau), some cares about their loyalty program points, while others may have a special taste for the grandeur or maybe simply the vastness (those like the Venetian and the Galaxy).

We just wanted to enjoy our stay in this small yet beautiful city, and be ourselves, so we chose Altira. And I knew we made a perfect choice when we checked out, and the concierge staff dropped us off at the airport and helped us with our luggage.

It was such a smooth experience. Our stay began with a satisfying hotel pick-up. Check-in counter was located on the top floor, with an eye-opening refreshing view. The receptionist was efficient and extremely polite, as were all the other staffs there.

Our room has a spectacular view facing the Macau city center--actually all the guestrooms have that same view, which is fantastic. And it is well-equipped--luxurious bathing space, cozy lounge area facing the bay, comfort linen and amenities, generously packed free minibar, and choices of teas and coffees. Only two things, a little demanding though, they might need to improve, which would be getting a better radio/audio system, like Bose, and getting a coffee machine.

We love the atmosphere and touch of the design very much--low key, quiet, decent... and, sophisticated.

Dining experience there was great. We had our breakfast in-room, very elegantly prepared and well-cooked. Lunch at Aurora the Italian restaurant was smooth too. Staff there were very attentive, food was nice too.

Last thing, don't miss the infinity pool on the sixteenth floor. That, I believe, shall give you an experience like no other in Macau.
