Overview

No, this is no mirage. Anantara Qasr al Sarab Desert Resort looms on the horizon of Abu Dhabi like some mythical fortress. Except, instead of keeping you out, it welcomes you to be spoiled beyond your wildest dreams.

The desert has a beauty that is always present, imposing, and ever changing. Hot in the day, cool in the night, and forever undulating toward the sky. On one horizon in Abu Dhabi's Empty Quarter, a shape has appeared unlike any other in this ocean of sand and mystery. Anantara Qasr al Sarab Desert Resort awaits travelers as a fortress of luxury, opening its doors to all who seek it.

Massive is the word that comes to mind when describing the resort's scale. And why not? It’s not like there are many neighbors around to butt up against. Accommodations are broken into 140 rooms, 14 suites, and 42 villas. Villas offer private pools and butler service, ideal for when you'd rather not interrupt a soak to mix another drink.

Take to the sands on foot or via camel to experience the beauty that is the desert. Or, stay in and float in the huge freeform pool before a round of tennis and sojourn in the library.

Dining happens at Al Waha for International cuisine, Suhail for fine meats and seafood, and Ghadeer, where a candlelit bridge leads guests to Mediterranean paradise.

If at any point the desert climate proves harsh, retreat to the spa, where hammams, Vichy treatments, Thai massage and much more stand waiting.

Wonderful

The hotel was excellent, all our VIP and Visa Card Benefits were offered without having to ask or remind (this is quite rare), the service was excellent and the hotel beautiful

Excellent resort

This was our 2nd time at the QAS resort and we were not disapointed. We, a party of 5, stayed 3 nights in a two-bedroom villa and in a one-bedroom villa, connected to each other. Same as last year, the welcome and the check-in was warm and efficient. The quality, design and interior of the villas are awesome. The two-bedroom villa had a slighly bigger plunge pool which is simply great for relaxing and sunbathing. The food in the restaurants was good. We did the dune bashing which was fun (until I got motion sick..) and the kids loved the camel riding during the sundowner. The guides are very competent and it was fun to spend time with them. The service and the staff of the QAS are truely awesome and helped to make us very happy guests. This was for sure not our last time in the QAS.

Highly recommended.

Our experience at the Qasr Al Sarab Resort was excellent, the hotel facilities are outstanding, the staff is extremely friendly, helpful and efficient and the location is really special and unique. Highly recommended.
