Grand in scale and character, this sumptuously updated architectural landmark brings together all the glamour of Miami Beach - and gets every detail right.

You never forget a face - especially when it's as iconic as Fontainebleau Miami Beach. By the pool below the white high-rise curve of this 1954 hotel, James Bond had a tense and sunny cinematic encounter with Goldfinger. Today, you have six pools to choose from, and a private VIP cabana with a lounge, deck, and butler service.

Seaside Fontainebleau Miami Beach reopened in November 2008 after a $1-billion renovation and expansion that brought the property's rooms and suites to 1,504 while accentuating its 1950s élan. Book one of the ocean-view Signature Suites, These modern enclaves have 400-thread-count Egyptian linens, multiple baths, a private bar, and a large iMac.

Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack used to party here, and hotel does them proud with 11 restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. Before a perfect porterhouse at Gotham Steak or bottle service at high-energy LIV, try the Elements Rain Tunnel treatment at Lapis Spa.

Very good!

A excelent hotel! We love it! But we dont had a late ceck-out...

Night Club Hotel

I spent four nights at Fountainbleu in April 2013 right after Springbreak.

The hotel lacks some with regard detail in the rooms.
In the bathroom the handle controlling the water kept falling off and I found what looked like vomit on my matress from a previous occupant on the last day of my stay.

The hotel staff was friendly, but did seem a little stressed.
One day as I ordered a drink by the pool using my room key the pool attendent gave my room key to another guest, thereby effectively shutting me out of my room, so i had to talk to the conceierge to get a new room key.

However if you are in Miami and want an exclusive and wild party experience the Fountainbleau is the place to be.
In the weekends the beat goes way up and you should start in the pool outside, drinking drinks, rent a cabana and listen to the house music that is all over from speakers around the resort.
In the evening you can have a dinner at the Gotham steak and continue into the Glow bar where you find an amazing vibe.
If you are up to more you can go to LIV night club and have some world class clubbing.

This is what the hotel excels at, but if you are into a romantic getaway or are bringing children I would recommend to find another hotel

Good choice

The hotel is huge, but is well organized and offers excellent accommodations. A big mistake, in my opinion, is that the hotel don't let you use the minibar for your personal stuff unless you rent it for 20 dollars a day!

Average Rooms

The rooms are average and the service (particularly the concierge) is below average. The location is poor as its the end of Miami beach and located far from most of the shopping/ocean drive.

I took time to see the W & Ritz since i come to Miami often. I would recommend the W or Ritz without hesitation compared to this.

I had an 8.40pm flight & had requested a late check-out of 2pm/4pm since I have a 2yr old, but the hotel insisted to charge 1/2 the room rate for a 2pm/4pm check-out. I paid anyway. I would have preferred the W where I am a frequent guest & would have got a 2pm at least, if not a 4pm.

However, my review is not based on them charging me for a late check-out. The location/quality of the hotel is average anyway.

Great if you like to party...

If you are looking for a relaxing hotel to stay at during your weekend this is NOT the place to be. But its not all bad.....
I would recommend this hotel for its spa, beach and pool but only during the week. On the weekend you have to get up early to get a beach or pool chair. And the party scene is in full swing on Friday/Saturday/Sunday. There are many college kids and people looking for action. But I did admire the pool and beach staff that tried to make everyone feel welcome and tried to find chairs for us.
This hotel drinks and food can get very pricey and there are not many "non hotel" restaurants nearby. I would recommend any package that includes breakfast otherwise its $70 for 2 people.
Rooms are nice especially if you get one with a bathtub. Also staff were very helpful in trying to get a room that accomodated us.
Southbeach is a $10 cab ride away from the hotel if you want to see all the craziness but I am glad we stayed in Miami beach compared to southbeach.
All in all a beautiful hotel but can get too busy and too pricey. The would return in the off season for the spa and the pools.

Las Vegas in Miami

Perfect stay for a family, lots of activities and everything at Fontainebleau, Great service and food.

Bad accomodation

My room was poorly mantained. I had problems with the shower, the tub, the toilet, all of them were leaking. I changed rooms but the other one was as old as the first. The hotel charges a lot but offers very few in terms of accomodation. I am probably not going to stay again in Fontainebleau nor recommend it to a friend.

Beautiful hotel. Very clear. Unreal pools. Great nightlife. Slow valet parking would be my only comment. Overall fantastic Miami experience!
