Singapore's Marina Bay district is already a sparkling wonderland of glass, steel, and status. Now that the Fullerton Bay Hotel has opened, though, you're going to need some serious shades.

Your room is situated on the water with breathtaking views of Marina Bay Sands. The only thing missing is a fishing rod.
Looking out on the man-made engineering marvel that is the Marina Bay waterfront, The Fullerton Bay Hotel sits low and sleek, as if to flippantly ignore the race for height supremacy among its neighbors.

Near to the whirring business district, The Fullerton Bay Hotel is obviously convenient for those dressed in suit and tie, but also doubles as a relaxing waterfront retreat for pleasure seekers. The lobby is adorned with vintage nautical maps and local art, while the central atrium sits below a massive chandelier.

100 rooms and six individually themed suites are based on a muted palette, and manage to pull off warm and modern at the same time.

Newly unveiled at The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore in May 2014 is The Clifford Pier. A historic landmark, Clifford Pier was built in 1933 as the landing jetty for ships and marks the arrival point where our forefathers began a new chapter of their lives. An air of adventure and discovery surrounds the Pier which is closely representative of the Singapore story. In the Pier’s earliest days, hawkers plied its waters on sampans offering comfort food such as porridge with simple dishes to warm the stomachs of Singapore’s pioneers who journeyed from afar. From the 1950s, the car park adjacent to the Pier was transformed into a hawker centre at night.

The new dining destination preserves the Pier’s intrinsic hawker culture and honours its historical role as the landing point of Singapore’s forefathers, as well as a melting pot
of diverse cultures.

Great value and service

We spent three nights in Singapore at this very good hotel with tasteful decor. The staff were remarkably helpful and competent but we do have some recommendations to make. We found the rooftop bar to be a little overpriced and we found the bar and restaurant staff to be overeager. Saying that, we definitely recommend this property and it's in a prime location.
