This luxury resort is composed of a collection of bungalows constructed from clay walls, indigenous stone and locally sourced beams and bricks. The natural landscape and local culture is honored, with architecture inspired by ancient Inca constructions and indigenous flora and fauna.
Guests are accommodated in cozy ‘casita’ homes, 28 Superior Casitas, 10 Deluxe Casitas and five Premium Casitas, each decorated with traditional Andean art and a host of modern amenities. Within each private sanctuary, an outdoor terrace leads into a high ceilinged living space with terra cotta tile floors, Peruvian textiles and handmade furniture. The plump beds are made with goose feather duvets and top quality Peruvian pima cotton sheets, ensuring supreme comfort.
Like its namesake—the Quechua word for wind—Wayra moves freely across culinary traditions. Lunch and dinner center on seasonal dishes anchored in Andean ingredients, many sourced from nearby farms with whom the kitchen maintains close relationships. Meals unfold slowly, with flavors deepened by traditional wood-fired ovens and a quiet reverence for the Sacred Valley’s agricultural rhythms. The hotel was created to support the Sol y Luna Foundation, which now includes a school, a home for children in need and a center for children with disabilities. Guests are welcome to visit during their stay and support the foundation through donations or sponsorship.
