Munich has always been a cultural flashpoint. Here, the Louis Hotel acts as an embassy for a global "back to basics" design movement, issuing day and night visas to intrepid travelers.

Wake up early, order coffee, step out onto your balcony and watch Munich's famous Viktualienmarkt come to life.
At the bar, a wiry man with a slightly upturned moustache gestures your way, insinuating that you may need a top up on your roughly muddled cocktail. You nod, but wish your German included the phrase for "Absolutely".

At the Louis, this is one of many small, quality moments that amount to a tactile experience you'll be comparing all others to in future. You'll often be heard saying, "Yeah, this is great, but when I was staying Louis Hotel in Munich…"

72 rooms, dressed in white, wood, and natural fibered beds manage to be classic, modern, practical, and lush at the same time. More white beams from the bathroom's subway tiles, and the smell of the hotel's custom line of bathroom products is outstanding without being over produced.

Sure the sauna, gym, and meeting rooms are great, but the real strengths here are seen and tasted. At Emiko, the Louis restaurant, communal Japanese treats lend themselves to rubbing elbows with new friends – a great time to swap your Munich must-see lists.

contemporary luxury

great hotel. contemporary luxury. true friendlyness not the often 5start trained frienlyness. highly recommended.
the best breakfast!

3 star at all!!!

Good morning,
I know your site kiwicollection as a careful selection of luxury hotels for discerning travelers, so I booked through your portal. I do not know what you mean by the word luxury, but the Hotel Louis does not fit all. When I arive at the hotel, no one was waiting at the door, no one has opened the door of my taxy, no one took care of my luggage, nobody could give me welcome. I had to drag my luggage in the lobby alone, (I want to clarify that when I arrived at the same time an elderly lady she too was coming to the hotel and I had to help me with his luggage, incomprehensible!) Check in the cold, all the staff were very young (beautiful physical presence and little substance)! Practically the tiny lobby lobby, bar and restaurant are all in the usual room-sized very small. After checking in I had to bring back a suitcase in a room alone, no one asked me if I needed. No upgrades. No note of welcome in the room, no welcome fruit, no welcome wine, only two small bottles of water. The small room had the most uncomfortable bed I've slept, seemed to sleep on the floor. The bathroom is nice, with only one sink and no shower separate from bathtub. The sofa in the room if you can call it Simply, it is a wooden bench with a cushion on top, almost looks like the bench that is located inside the churches, I would say absolutely uncomfortable to watch television. Slow service at the bar, about 45 minutes to get a sneck, after 45 minutes I decided to get up and tired of waiting I left. Upon check out of course I had reckoned that I had not eaten. This is a five star? Three stars at best but I would say simply a bed and breakfast luxury, nothing more. I do not understand how you ever write on your website so high an opinion to the rooms of this hotel (9?). Upon check out, of course I had to return alone to taxy up the suitcases and no one greeted me. I booked through your website many more choices for next week in Berlin, London and Paris and begins to have doubts after this experience at Louis.
