Located across the street from the Imperial Palace and steps from the shopping capital of Ginza, The Peninsula Tokyo is a well-appointed base from which to explore this fascinating city.

Walking into the 24th floor Peter bar and restaurant is entering a Yabu Pushelberg fantasy land, complete with catwalks and projected images (and the food is sensational, too)
Tokyo's first freestanding hotel to be built since the mid-'90s, the Peninsula Tokyo showcases Japan's design heritage (and love of all things high-tech) with lots of understated flourishes and modern gadgetry.

Rooms may come with cordless phones (Skype compatible) that convert to mobiles, inbuilt flatscreen TVs in marble bathrooms that mute when the phone rings, and handy nail driers that enable expert manicures. But they're also spacious dens of relaxation thanks to a soothing palette of earthy browns and beiges and lots of textural elements, like a ceiling inset with woven cedar mat, a slated wooden headboard, and a lacquered desk. The Peninsula Tokyo's 314 spacious rooms provide wonderful views of the Palace, so be sure to book on a high floor.

Foodies will love the traditional fare offered at Hei Fung Terrace. Meanwhile the grill, Peter, affords gorgeous views of Tokyo's skyline. Don't miss the ultra-modern spa for a luxurious Ayurvedic body treatment.

The Peninsula rides high in central Tokyo

What a delight it was to stay at The Peninsula Tokyo!
The hotel is perfectly located in central Tokyo, a short walk from the shopping and dining in Ginza. For venturing further afield the hotel even has its own access to the Hibiya subway station. As you would expect from The Peninsula the service levels are very high, through all areas of the hotel. Rooms are generous in size and well designed for a very pleasant stay.

You can't beat the location of the Peninsula Tokyo, which sits across the street from the Imperial Palace, above the Hibiya subway station and a three-minute walk to the happening Ginza district. A taxi ride from Narita airport takes 90 minutes.
