Cresting the rise leading to the entrance of Le Manoir Richelieu, you might expect to see a horse drawn carriage and royalty at this "castle on the cliff."

Watching over the St. Lawrence River, the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu is the only grand hotel in Charlevoix County, Quebec, and it looks more like an authentic French castle than a Canadian luxury hotel. Covering several acres high on the cliffs, there are 405 guest rooms and suites adorned with furniture and art that pay homage to this historically rich region. While exploring the hotel, look for the large scale oil paintings depicting scenes from pre-confederation Canada.

The Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu also prides itself on its conference and meetings facilities. It certainly would be a dramatic place to hold a conference and with a Grand Ball Room that can accommodate 1000 people there is certainly no shortage of space. If you have a more intimate engagement in mind, be sure to make a reservation at the 60-seat Le Charlevoix Restaurant and request a table by the window for an unobstructed view of the St. Lawrence - you may just see an iceberg... or a whale.
