How do we rate a property?
We rate all our hotels, resorts, and lodges using our own bespoke grading system. We'll only invite a property into our collection once it's been assessed by one of our specialists. If it doesn't impress us, it doesn't make the cut.
From the quality of the food served in the restaurant to the amenities offered in each bedroom, we carefully rate each property to make sure it meets our high expectations.

A country haven sculpted over centuries by ancient heather, woodland, garden and meadows, Heckfield Place is a beautiful piece of English history.
Both tamed and gently wild, Heckfield Place redefines the idea of a hotel. This Georgian family home has been lovingly restored from its classic original state and rewoven into 400 acres of secluded Hampshire countryside. With its own biodynamic farm, sweeping grounds and glamorous film screening room, this estate offers city sophistication in a country environment.
In the House and the Corridors, each of the guest bedrooms offers a different aspect and connection to the grounds. From bespoke English oak furniture to mats handwoven from rushes harvested on the River Ouse, their comfort and character is written in the natural materials and meticulous craftsmanship found throughout.
Offering restorative treatments and exclusive natural skincare products, the Little Bothy Spa is the perfect place to work out and unwind. Guests have access to five treatment rooms, three studios for personal training, yoga and pilates, along with a movement studio.
Each day fresh produce is sourced from the hotel's Home Farm and gardens to be simply prepared and served in the restaurants. From Marle restaurant to fireside cooking at Hearth, menus are directed by Skye Gyngell with dishes and drinks inspired by seasonal estate grown ingredients.
