Built in 1863 as part of the creation of the Paris’ Opera district, Sofitel Le Scribe has been a key player in Parisian life for over 150 years.

Throughout its long life the Sofitel Le Scribe building has worn many different faces, beginning as the seat of the prestigious Jockey Club. The building was home to the site of the first Louis Vuitton boutique in 1871 and the Lumière brothers even presented the world’s first cinema screening here in 1895. Today, the building houses a sumptuous variety of accommodations, fine dining and a dedicated wellness area.
