Overview

Deep in the heart of the Botswana wilderness waits Chobe Chilwero Lodge. Set above the Chobe River, expansive flood plains, and island, it's home to Africa's largest concentration of pachyderms.

Chobe Chilwero retreat is comprised of 15 luxurious cottages in Northern Botswana. When not on safari your time here will be spent lounging on your private veranda overlooking the Chobe River. You may also want to dedicate at least one full day to Chobe's fully appointed spa - the only one on the Bostswana safari circuit. Chobe lodge also has a fantastic two-tiered pool; an ideal place to watch the sun rise before heading out in search of elephants, lions, hippos antelopes, and more.

And speaking of elephants, Chobe Chilwero game lodge is located in the vicinity of Africa's largest concentration of the flappy-eared giants. Guides will take you out in open-sided 4x4 vehicles that get so close to the herd you'll feel like you could leap out and ride one into the sunset.

Being that mounting a wild elephant is a terrible idea, your days at Chobe will instead end on board a specially adapted motorboat that meanders up-river as the sun unstoppably slips below the grassland.

Chobe Chilero is located in northern Bostwana about 90 minutes from Zimbabwe and Zambia. Most charter flights into the region land in Kasane international airport which is approximately 10 minutes away from the Lodge by road. Some charters have luggage restriction of 20kg per person in a soft-sided bag. Road transport to and from the lodge can also be arranged.

The nearest airport is Kasane Airport : 8 km / 5 miles
