The hooves of handsome beasts erupt from the polo field as the scent of hearty British food wafts from the kitchen. The quintessential English Countryside experience is alive, well, and evolved at Coworth Park, Berkshire.

240 acres of bucolic English country occupied by people and ponies alike. Although, these thoroughbreds would likely be offended at being called "ponies", as their bloodlines run as pure as most Royals. Pop by the hotel's Equestrian Center and have a look for yourself; they welcome equine and sport lovers of all levels.

Afterwards, keep your Wellies on and have a casual bite at The Barn, where hearty dishes are served alongside a design aesthetic that blends Grandma's kitchen with a designer's touch.

Accommodations are divided among three buildings: Stables, with 28 rooms and a modern equestrian theme; Cottages, featuring 11 cozy rooms; and The Mansion House, where 30 rooms and suites mix Georgian decadence with bleeding-edge contemporary style.

Under a green roof, the stark Coworth Spa is as easy on its guests as it is on the surrounding environment. Built from timber and hemp, the spa offers 100% organic treatments in eight rooms, as well as manicure and pedicure services, an indoor pool, and healthful snacks juxtaposed with indulgent cocktails.

A feather in the cap of this retreat is Woven by Adam Smith, where a seasonal motif sets the stage for fine dining created with local game, and vegetables straight from the hotel's garden.
