Golden Eye

Placed on Low Cay Beach, the 17 bespoke-yet-charming cottages and grounds of Golden Eye mix relaxed and secluded Jamaica with the history and intrigue of one of the world’s most loved pop-culture characters: James Bond.

You see, Ian Fleming wrote the character on these shores while he was staying here after the war. He had been on a mission called … wait for it … Golden Eye. But enough about the past; what about the present? Arrive at the sign-less resort and drop your bags before sipping a rum-heavy welcome cocktail.

Celebrities frequent the resort, so try to treat them as you’d like to be treated. Keep your cool in the two pools, or whilst hovering over the coral reef in the turquoise ocean.

Each abode boasts an outdoor shower, widescreen LCD televisions, wireless internet, soaker tubs and beds topped with the hotel’s line of batik-splashed linens. When you’re not lounging around in your cottage, in the water, or in nature, feed yourself at one of two restaurants. The hanging Gazebo or Bizot Bar both (thankfully) serve the resort’s signature Jerk Chicken — worth the trip itself.
