Las Ventanas al Paraiso

Translated, the name Las Ventanas al Paraiso means “the windows to paradise.” Living up to a name like that is a tall order, but this resort on the south tip of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula does just that.

The rugged Baja desert gives way to the lush, green grounds that surround the resort, which themselves end at a meeting of white sand and blue water. Many of the suites, the outdoor swimming pool, and every table at the simply named The Restaurant share a stunning view of the sun-soaked Sea of Cortez. Keep an eye out for the whales and dolphins that frequently ply the waters in front of Las Ventanas al Paraiso with the aid of the telescope that comes with every room.
