We rate all our hotels, resorts, and lodges using our own bespoke grading system. We'll only invite a property into our collection once it's been assessed by one of our specialists. If it doesn't impress us, it doesn't make the cut.

The tony neighborhood of Knightsbridge forms a suave backdrop to The Franklin London – Starhotels Collezione, a seriously sleek entrant to the London luxury hotel scene.
Though tucked away in the thoroughly urban surrounds of Knightsbridge, a welcome slice of greenery surrounds The Franklin in the form of the picturesque Egerton Gardens. This splendid first impression extends to the hotel’s interiors, where Anouska Hempel’s trademark whiff of decadence is apparent across the 35 guest accommodations. Each features a slew of modern amenities like complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access, designer toiletries and an impressive sound system.
Helmed by Michelin-starred Italian Chef Alfred Russo, The Franklin Restaurant serves three meals daily and has a capacity of just 30 guests. Looking out over the gardens, diners are treated to a menu that marries simplicity with sophistication, using only the finest in seasonal ingredients.
Outside of The Franklin, Knightsbridge is a riot of activity with Harrods, the Albert Hall, Hyde Park and Kensington Palace all located nearby. Trafalgar Square and the London Eye are also easily reachable, though slightly further away.
