Refreshing Fridays: Easter Holiday Getaways

- Melanie Zieba,

Easter will soon be here and over the years, Easter has evolved from the religious holiday remembering the resurrection of Jesus and the end of Lent, to chocolate colored eggs and big white bunnies. How this transition came to be has something to do with spring time and a German lady putting colored eggs in a nest so with all of this confusion we think it’s time for a drink. And a Blue Cottontail cocktail sounds appropriate.
21st century Easter calls for bright colors and a good time, two things this cocktail defiantly has. So when Easter arrives this April 4th, mix up this Blue Cottontail cocktail and indulge…Lent is over after all.

-1-1/2 ounces vodka
-1/2 ounce triple sec
-1/4 ounce blue Curaçao
-Orange peel (for garnish)

In an ice filled martini shaker add ingredients, shake and strain in to a chilled martini glass and garnish with an orange peel

And if you are looking to get out of town for the holidays, check out some of these amazing hotels from around the world along with their special holiday packages.
