These extra pet-friendly hotels go beyond a water dish and a treat, offering fully curated experiences so four-legged guests can also have a vacation. From Afternoon Tea with gourmet treats to doggie yoga sessions, wagging tails are pretty much guaranteed.

Las Ventanas al Paraiso’s Dog Butlers welcome canine guests to the resort and take care of all their needs. Doggie days here are spent walking the beach and desert countryside, relaxing with dog massages and practicing asanas in ‘doga.’ Dinners are ordered off the Canine Delights Menu, served on bone-shaped placemats. And for birthdays, the Dog Butler can also organize parties for Fido and friends.

At The Murray, Hong Kong, which is connected to public walkways, pets roam freely on leash outside the confines of a carrier. They’re also welcomed to dine at any outdoor restaurants. The monthly Paws for Tea, which are paired with special events such as doggie yoga, pet photoshoots or adoption opportunities, are afternoons filled with gourmet treats for both dogs and humans. So felines aren’t left out, the hotel also recently hosted a pop-up Purrs for Tea.

Then peruse the Dog Photography Exhibit at the Underground Gallery. Lastly, there’s the Friday water hour (and wine for humans) in the lobby, hosted by Canine Executive Officers, golden retrievers Betsy and Rosa. Fifty percent of pet fees are donated to the Miami-Dade Animal Rescue, and in honor of the hotel owners’ childhood home, the SPCA in Zimbabwe.
