Located street-level in the middle of Rambla de Catalunya, one of Barcelona’s busiest boulevards, Murmuri Barcelona’s terrace is surrounded by the heartbeat of the city. We’ll sunbathe here with a glass in hand, toasting the vibrant energy of this enigmatic city.

Once a private home, Primero Primera Boutique Hotel is a local’s secret. Inside this cozy hotel is a bar like no other, where visitors serve themselves and pay by an honor system. When we can, you’ll find us pouring a stiff drink and having philosophical chats by the fireplace.

Hidden underneath the sophisticated Hotel SOFIA Barcelona is its alter-ego, Zuu Restaurant, an exclusive weekend dinner cabaret. We’ll reward ourselves with tickets to a cheeky dinner and show here when it’s time.

On top of the Majestic Hotel and Spa is La Dolce Vitae rooftop, where all of Barcelona comes into view. We long for days in the Spanish sun, serenaded by a live DJ, nibbling on bites by Nandu Jubany and gazing at views of the Sagrada Familia’s famous spires.

Looking out onto the street, the Restaurant at NH Collection Madrid is the perfect discreet place to watch the comings and goings of the charming, local neighborhood. We’ll spend an afternoon here under the natural daylight, slowly sampling a deliciously simple menu of Mediterranean dishes.

In the 19^th century, the El Padrino bookshop occupied the ground floor of Only You Boutique Hotel. Today, there are still books on the walls, in addition to a menu of the best Iberian hams and cheeses, wines served by the weight, craft beers and local tapas. We can’t wait to gather together here and leisurely debate poetry and literature.

El Jardín De Diana is Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid’s secret rooftop bar. While the world buzzes around below, this garden terrace on the 10^th floor offers an oasis filled with potted plants surrounded by beautiful architecture. Come here to rest under swaying palms with a glass of fine Spanish wine when all is well again.

Hidden behind a service door is Bless Hotel Madrid’s secret lair, The Fetén Clandestine Club, a place where one goes to carry on the night. Those who find it will chance upon a bowling alley, signature cocktails and a fabulous night that may or may not have happened. As we await that future night on the town, we’re searching for clues to its entry.

With leafy plants, rattan furniture and glass-enclosed views of Madrid’s rooftops, La Pérgola is The Principal Madrid’s enchanting garden in the sky. We’ll come here after dinner at Ático, two Michelin-starred chef Ramón Freixa’s informal fine dining restaurant in the same hotel. Dinner, cocktails or fondue, we can’t wait to taste it all.
