It takes a lot to shine amid the architectural splendor of the City of Lights, but a desirable location and some 19th century opulence marks Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme as a hotel worth closer inspection. Read on as we delve deeper on this Parisian marvel.

Location

Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme places guests on the fashionable Rue de la Paix, a street resplendent in Haussmann-era architecture and surprisingly peaceful. This coveted location enables strolls along the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, browsing the exhibits at The Louvre or Musee d’Orsay, or indulging in a little retail therapy on the famed Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré. The hotel is steps from several Metro stations, and Paris-Charles de Gaulle International Airport is just 35-minutes away by car.

Accommodations

Behind the 19th century facade, designer Ed Tuttle has crafted an interior that meshes contemporary architecture with Asian design elements. The 196 rooms and suites foster a feeling of living in a Parisian apartment, one filled with modern conveniences and bathrooms boasting separate bathtubs and showers. The ultimate extravagance is the Imperial Suite, which features its own private spa and has hosted several Sheikhs during their visits to Paris.

Dining

In a city famed for its gastronomic delights, the Michelin-Starred Pur’ has become appointment dining for Parisian gourmands, even earning a perfect Kiwi Rating of 10. The restaurant is housed in a spectacular setting, the centerpiece of which is a striking rotunda flanked by imposing pillars. Executive Chef Jean-Francois Rouquette has crafted a menu anchored in fine French dining, with some interesting quirks such as smoked corn ice cream and tapioca vinaigrette. A more exclusive dining space is available at The Chef’s Table, a private, curtained-off space overlooking the open plan kitchen. While Pur’ is the dining jewel, Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme contains several other restaurants and bars. Les Orchidees offers a more informal restaurant and lounge, La Terrasse is the hotel’s al fresco option for warm summer nights, and Le Bar.

Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome Spa

Spa and Fitness

Le Spa Paris offers a haven of relaxation and indulgence in a compact setting of just 250 square meters. The decor here is soothing, consisting of Parisian stone and mahogany fixtures. Features include a whirlpool bath, steam room and four treatment rooms, one of which is designed specifically for couples. Le Spa partnered with Crème de la Mer to use their highly regarded line of cosmetic products throughout, including Miracle Broth. Languid days spent at the spa aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme also happens to boast an intimate gym for those of a more athletic disposition.
