Beth Richards

Her namesake swimwear has graced the pages of Vogue, ELLE and Harper’s Bazaar and the bods of all kinds of women, including fitness guru Tracey Anderson and TV personality Khloé Kardashian. Beach-loving Canadian designer Beth Richards shares her fave destination and top travel essentials.

The Yeatman Portugal

“I love how quaint Porto is, yet still so rich in culture and architecture. The food is incredible, especially if you love seafood washed down with endless port and wine. The people are gentle and don’t seem to take the laid-back lifestyle for granted. It has a seawall perfect for strolling and a surf break close to the city center a quick scoot away. I often think of my trip there and want to get back sooner rather than later.”
Beth Richards Madonna swimsuit

“For travel, Beth Richards Swimwear, of course! The Madonna [pictured] is my latest fave, or the Ines one piece. They double as bodysuits and are luxe for pool or hot tub. I practice safe sunning, so always pack a hat and sunscreen too.”

Strathcona Stockinsg eye mask

Aesop’s travel roller is an amazing aromatherapy companion for long, weary flights. I like to pair it with an eye mask, such as Strathcona Stockings’ floral version, for extra Zzz’s.”
Nike Air Rift

“My Muji luggage almost always has a pair of Nike Air Rifts packed inside—they’re the most comfortable shoes for day tripping, hiking or beaching and pair well with everything from culottes to jeans. But I’m doing my own footwear collab with Native Shoes this spring—a ultra-lightweight, waterproof shoe.”
