The Cabo Hotel Beloved by Celebs
by Joy PecknoldAnyone who’s ever scanned People magazine knows celebs love Los Cabos, Mexico for its luxury seaside resorts and proximity to Hollywood. Home to plush villas and a rare private beach, Esperanza, an Auberge Resort is one of the five-star resorts most frequented by the famous. This past Spring Break, Naomi Watts added her name to its star-studded guest list when we booked a stay for her. Here’s a look into her three-night stay at the property.
Joined by her kids, two gal pals and their families, Naomi and crew stayed in one of Esperanza’s largest accommodations, a sprawling, sumptuous Four Bedroom Ocean View Deluxe Villa with Hot Tub. The Baja-style residence comprises 4,000-square-foot of indoor-outdoor living space, including a full kitchen, grill, five beds, four bathrooms, three terraces and, of course, a private hot tub overlooking the ocean.
There’s a villa butler and concierge at the ready to make vacation arrangements, from stocking the kitchen to setting a tee time at a nearby golf course. During her stay, Naomi enjoyed the private chef experience, having a delicious multi-course meal cooked for her party right in the villa.
During the day, Naomi and friends enjoyed an afternoon in a beach cabana, basking in the sun, finding sea urchins, playing cards and, naturally, sipping margaritas. The kids also enjoyed the near life-sized outdoor chess set on the grounds. While they relished a slower pace for their short stay, the resort offers a vast menu of experiences should guests want for more, including spa treatments, cooking classes, deep-sea fishing, pickle ball tournaments and more.
Don’t take our word for it though. Leading an Instagram carousel of memories from her holiday with a sun-kissed, smiling selfie from the beach, Naomi wrote, “Dreaming of our last day in sublime, exquisite, heavenly Mexico.” Celeb or not, Esperanza knows how to serve up a sublime time for their guests.
