How do we rate a property?
We rate all our hotels, resorts, and lodges using our own bespoke grading system. We'll only invite a property into our collection once it's been assessed by one of our specialists. If it doesn't impress us, it doesn't make the cut.
From the quality of the food served in the restaurant to the amenities offered in each bedroom, we carefully rate each property to make sure it meets our high expectations.

Finding Eden: Madagascar's Anjajavy le Lodge caters to Eco-travelers with impeccably high standards.
This is not just any nature reserve. With 24 luxury rosewood villas facing the sea, Anjajavy le Lodge offers luxury accommodations within a large nature reserve that is, quite simply, at the end of the world.
Set along the Mozambique Channel, the nature reserve is home to over 1,800 floral species, many of which are endemic to the country. Take a guided walk and discover the famous Sifaka lemur, or marvel at the ever-changing chameleon or bird of paradise. Be awed as you watch the Madagascar fisher eagle take to the coral reef in a search for prey.
Feeling more adventurous? Head out on a deep sea fishing charter. Or snorkel among the tsingy - coral remains sculpted for millennia by rain erosion. Dine on Malagasy specialties on tables situated on the beach.
Each villa has a large terrace overlooking the sea, with living and breakfast areas. Climb the small staircase to your private relaxation room - it's an ideal spot for reflecting on the wonders you've seen.
