We rate all our hotels, resorts, and lodges using our own bespoke grading system. We'll only invite a property into our collection once it's been assessed by one of our specialists. If it doesn't impress us, it doesn't make the cut.

Set on the banks of the fabled Perfume River, Azerai La Residence, Hue is an Art Deco masterpiece surrounded by Hue's storybook palaces, pagodas and temples.
Originally built in 1930 as part of the residence of the French Resident Superieure, Azerai La Residence, Hue is a grand colonial mansion brimming with opulence. Step into interiors decked out with modern stained glass, teak wood floors and 1930s furnishings, or explore the estate, which embraces an expansive tropical garden and salt-water swimming pool.
The 122 rooms and suites occupy three distinct buildings. In the hotel’s West Wing, the 73 superior and deluxe rooms feature a contemporary look that trades on both simplicity and a timeless elegance. Some rooms offer balconies as large as terraces, with many looking out to the gardens and river. In the mansion, 10 Colonial Rooms, Suites and the Resident’s Suite offer private balconies and views that reach over the gardens to the Perfume River. In the East Wing, 39 more superior and deluxe rooms and suites provide both river and garden views.
Elsewhere, the hotel's restaurant Le Parfum serves Vietnamese dishes and Le Gouverneur cocktail bar mixes up masterful martinis. Venture further afield to Hue's town center to explore a wealth of buzzing restaurants and bars.
