Originally built in the beginning of the 12th century, Château d’Ouchy survived the Bernese occupation and various stages of neglect and reconstruction to re-emerge today as a historic yet trendy boutique hotel.

The tower of the original Chateau was built in 1170 by the Bishop of Lausanne, and subsequent bishops made it their home for centuries. During the era of the Bernese occupation, the property was neglected until a series of massive renovations began in 1885.
