Chongwe River House
The house is an astonishing creation made with ferro walls that flow and ebb in harmony with the landscape. The furniture is hand carved from an enormous winter thorn tree while the fittings throughout the house are made from natural materials like soft colored pebbles, bone, wood, and marble.
A huge veranda extends towards the river complete with an organically shaped plunge pool. It's the ideal setting to enjoy an evening meal, recounting your meetings with elephants, buffalo, hippos - and if you're lucky - a lion or two.

Chongwe River House overlooks the Zambezi and Chongwe rivers in Zambia, and edges onto Lower Zambezi National Park. The surrounding area is remote and relatively undeveloped,
making travel by private car ill-advised. There is a tar airstrip located about a 15 minute drive away and the flight is approx 30 mins from Zambia’s capital, Lusaka.
