Alpine traditions and contemporary modernism find harmony in the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof. Steeped in mountain lore, the hotel is nestled in an alpine village on the flank of the Matterhorn.

A horse-drawn carriage is a charming way to discover the car-free village of Zermatt.
As tempting as it may be to imagine yourself climbing the Matterhorn as you sip Dubonnet and kirsh by the fire at the Rundenbar, it's probably best to leave the mountaineering to the experts. Besides, there are over 313km of alpine ski runs at your disposal not to mention an abundance of hiking trails and a hotel casino should the mountains fail to exhaust your vigor.

The wind sheltered, south-facing location of Zermatt protects the hotel even as winter winds whip snow off the distant peaks.
The hotel's 84 rooms were refreshed in 2002 with a more modern aesthetic and contemporary amenities without sacrificing the original alpine character.

Those who find themselves planning a weekend adventure in the mountains will benefit from the trio of dining options here. Enticing Alpine gourmet can be found at Prato Borni, Brasserie Lusi offers a dollop of French brasserie cuisine, while saycheese! offers a passionate spot for cheese lovers to indulge their passions.
