A posh yet playful base in downtown Palm Springs, Holiday House is the epitome of California Cool.

Originally opened in 1951, Holiday House is an adults-only boutique hotel in the heart of Palm Springs. Today, the hotel has been completely reimagined by interior designer Mark D. Sikes. The fun design centers around whimsical tile-work in the bar, along with mid-century inspired elements. A relaxed, communal atmosphere can be found throughout the hotel, making it easy to recharge and unwind.

Each of the 28 guest rooms has been given a modern facelift, featuring Waterworks bath hardware, oversized showers, custom textiles and a curated art collection. The elegant blue and white color palette is complemented by playful splashes of wood details.

The 5-star Palm Springs hotel offers a complimentary breakfast and small menu of traditional Americana cuisine from 11am to 4pm daily, including salads, cheeseburgers and lobster rolls. The delicious coffee is sourced from Santa Cruz-based roaster Verve, and is definitely worth writing home about.

Whether relaxing poolside, lounging by the triangular fire pit and shuffleboard court, or making use of the hotel's complimentary bike rental service, there's plenty of ways to enjoy yourself during a stay at Holiday House.
