Overview

The Imperial Hotel was built for Royalty - It was the Vienna residence of the Prince of Württemberg until 1873 when the hotel was opened to visiting dignitaries like you.

Modern facilities and amenities only add to the timeless elegance of the Hotel Imperial, the closest thing to spending the night in a palace that you'll find in Vienna. Built for the Prince of Württemberg in 1863, this extravagant residence was converted to a hotel for the 1873 World Exhibition, and is still used by the Austrian Government to house official visitors.

You'll be in the center of things on Vienna's magnificent Ring Boulevard (Ringstrasse), only a few minutes' walk from the best shopping and restaurants the city has to offer. Explore the area on your own, or take one of the Hotel's exclusive tours and do it in style.

For a true gourmet feast for the senses, the Imperial Restaurant unmatched. Or sit down at the Cafe Imperial surrounded by the echoes of all the famous authors who wrote their manuscripts there. Royalty may have solved the people's problems here in the past, but today, it would seem the hotel has it covered all by itself.
