Originally built by Hungarian Freemasons in the 19th century, the historic Mystery Hotel Budapest is a place of legend, wonder and secrets.

As the life of a Freemason was filled with mystique, so too is Mystery Hotel Budapest. Optical illusions, puzzles and mysterious traces of the past line the hallways of this luxury Budapest hotel, and eclectic décor inspired by Harry Potter and the Da Vinci Code novel can be found throughout the premises.

The palace contains 82 Grecian-style rooms beautifully designed by Hungarian interior designer Zoltán Varró. Guests can idulge in an array of modern-day amenities, including an in-room Nespresso machine, mineral water and premium bathroom cosmetics.

Although you might be tempted to explore the hotel’s hallways all day long, the hotel does offer some modern-day comforts worth checking out. Indulge in a day of pampering at the Secret Garden Spa, work out at the fitness center, have a steam in the sauna and end the day with magnificent views of Budapest from the hotel's rooftop bar.
