How do we rate a property?
We rate all our hotels, resorts, and lodges using our own bespoke grading system. We'll only invite a property into our collection once it's been assessed by one of our specialists. If it doesn't impress us, it doesn't make the cut.
From the quality of the food served in the restaurant to the amenities offered in each bedroom, we carefully rate each property to make sure it meets our high expectations.

About This Hotel
Perched on a hillside in the Higashiyama district of Kyoto, the Park Hyatt Kyoto welcomes guests into a carefully crafted, luxury guesthouse.
A shining example of architectural excellence, the Park Hyatt Kyoto is more retreat than hotel. It exists in harmony with temples, spiritual gardens, and nature and the rooms incorporate local craftsmanship, art, and materials.
Dining is a cultural experience at the Park Hyatt. At Yasaka, award-winning Chef de Cuisine Kampei Hisaoka prepares your meal before right your eyes on a live cooking stage. Kyoyamato dates back to 1877 and is a traditional Japanese restaurant that serves authentic kaiseki cuisine. For more casual fare, you can head to Kyoto Bistro, the Living Room, or Kohaku bar.
Though it’s a refuge from the city, the Park Hyatt Kyoto is nonetheless centrally located for you to explore Kyoto. From the boutiques in Ninen-zaka to the geishas in Gion to the wooden Tatsumi Bridge, Kyoto is a tourist’s wonderland.
