Hiding a palm-shaded garden between the tiled internal patios, Riad Fès encourages the balmy Moroccan air to breeze through the marbled rooms. Taking the sound of the Riad's grand piano with it, the cool air makes a relaxing refuge from the midday heat.

Views of the world's largest medina and the burnt orange Atlas Mountains make the rooftop terrace a romantic spot for an evening cocktail. Skip from the bar to a private alcove in the restaurant for traditional lentil soup, lamb simmered in aromatic herbs, and Mediterranean fish in fresh lemon sauce. And then retire to your air conditioned room, furnished in sleek woods and rich carpets, overlooking lush gardens and patios.

Golf enthusiasts are well served with the nearby Cabell B. Robinson-designed course set in olive groves. Guests of Riad Fès can choose to stay as part of a golfing package which includes guided tours of Middle Atlas cedar forests, waterfalls, and lakes, or city visits to Meknes and Moulay Idriss.
