Transformed since its days as a winter retreat, Royal Palms Resort and Spa offers a vision of Spanish-inspired luxury deep in the Valley of the Sun.
Royal Palms Resort and Spa has welcomed visitors to the desert since the winter of 1948, but this storied estate charts its origins back even further. It first opened as a winter hideaway for New York industrialist Delos Willard Cooke, who sought a more pleasant climate to live out his later years alongside his wife Florence. The estate changed hands several times, before being converted to an opulent resort in the 1940s.
Though it maintains the Spanish-colonial look of old, the present-day Royal Palms Resort and Spa is a destination defined by 21st century opulence. 119-rooms and suites sprawl throughout the estate, each boasting an abundance of European-style decor, stunning views, and complimentary Wi-Fi Internet. Guest comfort is of the utmost importance, with the resort providing three employees for every guest to ensure flawless quality of service.

Pet policy:For stays of up to six nights, the hotel charges a USD$150 pet fee, and for stays of seven through thirty nights, an additional USD$100 deep-cleaning fee will be included. Pets must weigh 50 pounds and under or two pets must weigh 75 pounds combined at most to be permitted to stay at Royal Palms Resort and Spa.
